     Baked Mostaccioli

Ingredients
8 oz. mostaccioli noodles
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup green pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
28 oz. can tomatoes, diced (undrained)
1 (8oz) can tomato sauce
1 (6oz) can tomato paste
1/2 cup water
 
1 (4oz) can mushrooms
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. dried basil
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 (6oz) pkg. sliced mozzarella cheese
Bay leaf

Instructions
Cook mostaccioli in large amount of boiling water until almost tender, about 7 minutes. Drain. In a large pan, cook beef, onion, green pepper, and garlic until meat is browned. Drain off fat. Add undrained tomatoes, sauce, paste, undrained mushrooms, salt, sugar, basil, pepper, bay leaf, and water. Cook and simmer 30 minutes. Remove bay leaf and stir in noodles. Turn into a 9 X 13 inch dish. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Cover with foil and bake 35 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove foil. Place mozzarella slices on top and bake a few minutes longer.
