     Shepherd's Pie or Cottage Pie

Ingredients
1 - 1/2 lb. Ground Beef or Ground Lamb
6 Potatoes - whipped
1 pkg Lipton Onion Soup Mix
1 can Creamed Corn
1 can Peas
1 can Corn
1 can Carrots
1 can Diced Tomatoes with Jalepenos
1 can Green Beans
 
1 C. Italian Bread Crumbs
1 Tbl Garlic - minced
1 tsp. Worcesteshire Sauce
3/4 C Cheddar Cheese - shredded
1 C cream for whipping potatoes
1 stick butter for whipping potatoes
salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp Cayenne

Instructions
Brown ground beef and drain. For Shepherd's Pie use lamb, or use both. Add 1 pkg Lipton Onion soup mix Add corn, peas, carrots, green beans, garlic, tomatoes, italian bread crumbs, cayenne, and worcesteshire sauce. Mix well.
Cook potatoes and whip with heavy cream and butter Add salt and pepper.
Put meat mixture in bottom of 13 X 9 pan or in a large oven safe deep fry pan. I have a very large cast iron deep skillet that I use to mix and bake everything. Spread Mashed potatoes over the top. Sprinkle with Cheddar Cheese.
Bake at 400 for 35 minutes.
Serving Suggestions
Great with a good artisan bread.
