     Pork chops with sauteed apples

Ingredients
6 large meaty pork chops trimmed
1 C packed brown sugar
2/3 C applejack
1/2 C apple juice
2 large apples, peeled and slice in rings
1 tbl butter
1/4 C white wine
chopped pistachios
 

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350...Place chops in skillet and sear over high heat on both sides. Sprinkle with salt. Combine sugar, liquor, and juice in pan and heat 2 min. Spoon over chops and bake 45 min...Turn 1 or 2 xs...Melt butter in skillet and add apple rings...Pour in wine and cook until tender...Arrange chops in overlapping pattern on one side of platter...Pour sauce over and sprinkle with pistachios...Arrange apple slices on other side of platter
