     OAMC Apple Wild Rice

Ingredients
3/4 cup butter
1 1/2 t thyme
1 1/2 cups dried cranberries
1 1/2 cups dried apple - finely chopped
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
3 cups wild rice - cooked
 

Instructions
Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat; add in thyme, salt, pepper, cranberries, apple, broth, and cream; simmer 3 minutes, until the apple begins to plump up. Stir in the wild rice.
Cool, bag and freeze.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees; let casserole come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.
Serving Suggestions
Bake, covered, for 20 minutes, or until heated through.
