Cream butter with brown sugar,salt,cinnamon,nutmeg,cloves and egg...Blend well and then stir in flour, baking soda and 1/4 C milk..Stir in apples...Drop by small tsp on ungreased cookie sheets...Bake at 400 for 10-12 min...Cool and ice
Icing ...Stir together melted butter ,conf sugar, maple flavoring. add milk as needed
