to the pan add about 1/3 cube butter, lots of sliced onions (I think we chopped up 5 or 6?) and 3 or 4 cloves garlic chopped up. Sautee them until they're pretty well wilted, the garlic will be almost disintegrated! Then add balsamic vinegar and lower the heat and let it reduce down until it's saucy. I think the other night I used red wine vinegar and a balsamic salad dressing and a splash of A1 Steak Sauce.
