     Amish Friendship Bread

Ingredients
STARTER-
1 c each- sugar, flour and milk
For Bread-
1 c oil or substitute applesauce
1 c sugar
1 t vanilla
3 large eggs
1 1/2 t baking powder
 
1/2 t salt
2 c flour
1/2 c milk
1/2 t baking soda
1 large box vanilla pudding
2 t cinnamon

Instructions
Do not use metal spoons or bowls for mixing. Do not refrigerate. If air gets in the bag, let it out. It is normal for batter to thicken, bubble and ferment, don't be alarmed. Day 1 - the day you receive the batter do nothing. Days 2,3,4,5, Squeeze the bag. Day 6 - Add 1 c each of flour, sugar, milk. Days 7,8,9, Squeeze the bag.
Day 10- Combine in bowl batter from the bag, 1 c flour, 1 c sugar, and 1 c milk. Mix with wooden spoon or spatula. Pour 1 cup of mixture into each of 4 ziploc bags. Keep one for yourself and pass three along to friends along with these instructions.
Bread Directions- You will be greasing and sugaring the large loaf pans. Mix a little bit of the cinnamon and sugar together, grease teo large loaf pans and dust with the cinnamon and sugar mixture.
Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl. Divide batter between the two pans. You may sprinkle some cinnamon and sugar over the top if you want. Bake at 325 for one hour. Optional-add 1 c chopped nuts or 1/2 c raisins. You may also add 1 16 oz can pumpkin or a cup of mashed bananas.
