Cut onion into slices and sauté in oil on medium heat in a 3 quart pot, stirring until onions are soft. Put peppercorns, cinnamon stick, and garlic into cheesecloth bunch and add to pot.

Add tomatoes, jalapeno pepper, the rest of the spices, and about 3 cups of water and bring to a boil and turn to medium heat again.

Cube the chicken breast into 1 inch pieces. Add the chicken breasts and bring to a boil and then turn to medium heat again and put a lid on the pot.

|
Cook for about 45 minutes until chicken is tender. The liquid turns into a sauce. Add more water if needed. When done, remove cheesecloth and add cilantro leaves and stir.
