Cream butter, shortening and sugar. Add vanilla and salt. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each. Add flour and mix well. Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with floured glass. Bake in a 375 oven for 8-10 minutes. Remove from pan immediately.
