     Seven Minute Frosting for Coconut Cake

Ingredients
2 egg whites
1 1/2 cups sugar
dash of salt
5 T water
1 1/2 t light corn syrup
1 t vanilla
 

Instructions
Combine egg whites, sugar, salt, water and corn syrup in top of double boiler, mixing thoroughly.
Place over rapidly boiling water, beat constantly at high speed, and cook for seven minutes, or until the frosting will stand up in peaks.
Remove from boiling water; add vanilla and beat until thick enough to spread.
