Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix butter and sugar together. Add eggs and beat until fluffy.
Add salt, baking soda, vanilla, and flour and mix. Add pecan pieces and mix. Stir in
chocolate chips with a spoon. Spoon drops onto cookie sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes.
