6 lb corned beef brisket with spice pack
|
|
1 c malt vinegar
|
|
1/2 (12 oz) bottle Irish stout beer
|
|
10-12 new red potatoes, halved
|
|
2 large heads cabbage, quartered
|
|
1/2 T black peppercorns
|
|
|

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

Instructions |
|
|
Preheat oven to 350.
|
|
|
Place corned beef in large roasting pan and pat spices into meat. Pour vinegar and beer over brisket and add enough water to cover brisket.
|
|
|
Cover and bake for 3 hours. Add new potatoes; top with cabbage.
|
|
|
Sprinkle black peppercorns over top. Cover and bake for additional 20 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
