2 envelopes active dry yeast
1/4 cup warm water (105-115)
1 1/2 cup warm milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 t salt
2 eggs
1/3 cup shortening
5 cups all purpose flour
honey dip
1/3 cup butter
2 cups powded sugar
1 1/2 t vanilla
4 T hot water

sprinkle the yeast over water let stand 5 min
mix yeast mix milk sugar salt eggs shortening and 2 cups flour mix 1/2 cup flour at a time until dough is not sticky
place dough in greesed bowl let double roll dough out 1/2 inch thick cut with cuttter cover let double
glaze melt butter stir in sugar and vanilla until smooth remove from heat stir in hot water until thin fry dounuts 350 dip in glaze
