Cut sausage into 1/2 in. pieces. Saute until cooked thru. transfer to a large stock pot. saute onions and garlic in same pan for about 2 minutes, add to stock pot. bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer for 10 min, add tortellini and simmer 10 min more. stir in spinach leaves and kidney beans. season with pepper, basil and salt to taste
