Category   Entrees - Maindishes
Sub Category   Holiday Dish
Servings   20 to 25

Ingredients
1 - 10 to 14 pound fully cooked whole ham
1 - 10 oz. jar cherry preserves
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/3 cup slivered almonds, toasted
3 tablespoons water

Instructions
Place whole ham on rack in a shallow baking pan. Insert meat thermometer, placing thermometer so its bulb rest center of the thickest portion of meat and does not rest in fat or touch bone. Bake, uncovered in 325 degree oven for 2 to 3 hours or till thermometer registers 140 degrees.
Meanwhile, for glaze, in saucepan, combine cherry preserves, red wine vinegar, corn syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Cook and stir till boiling. Reduce heat; simmer for 2 minutes. Stir in almonds. Reserve 3/4 cup of the glaze.
About 15 minutes before ham is done, spoon some of the remaining glaze over ham. Continue baking and basting, occasionally with glaze.
Remove from oven; place on warm serving platter. Stir the water into reserved 3/4 cup of glaze; heat and pass glaze with meat.
