Brown ground beef, onion, and garlic in skillet until ground beef is crumbly. Drain off excess fat and cool.
Stir in cheese, crumbs, parsley, and egg. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Cook shells in boiling water until tender (approx 15 minutes). Drain.
Stuff shells with meat mixture.
Spoon ¼ of sauce over bottom of greased 9 x 13 x 2-inch baking pan. Place shells in sauce, side by side, in single layer.
Mix wine with remaining sauce. Pour over shells. Sprinkle with cheese.
Bake in preheated 400 F oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until brown and bubbly. Sprinkle with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
