     Gourmet Cheese Grits

Ingredients
1 quart milk
1/2 cup butter
1 cup uncooked grits
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground white pepper
1 egg
1/3 cup butter
4 oz. Gruyere cheese, grated
1/2 cup grated fresh Parmesan cheese
 

Instructions
Bring milk to a boil over medium heat, stirring often. Add 1/2 cup butter and grits. Cook stirring constantly, until mixture is the consistency of oatmeal (about 5 min). Remove grits from hear. Add salt, pepper, and egg, beating until well combined. Add 1/3 cup butter and gruyere cheese. Pour into greased 2 qt. casserole. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
