In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown ground beef over medium high heat, stirring to break up meat. Drain- discard drippings. Stir in salt, celery, onions and green pepper. Cover; simmer over low heat until vegetables are crisp-tender, about 10 minutes. Romove from heat; cool on a rack. Ladle into six 2 cup freezer containers with tight-fitting lids, leaving 1/2 inch air space at top of each. Cut throught mixture in each container with a knife several times to remove air pockets. Attach lids. Label containers with date and contents.
