     Cranberry Crunch Dessert

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups Bisquick baking mix
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 cups cranberries
1/2 cup sliced or slivered slmonds
2 tbsp margarine or butter, melted
1 tsp sugar
Butter-Rum Sauce (below)
 

Instructions
Heat oven to 350°. Grease square pan, 8x8x2 inches. Mix baking mix, 1 cup sugar and the egg until crumbly. Lightly press 2/3 of the crumbly mixture in pan. Top with cranberries and almonds; sprinkle with remaining crumbly mixture. Drizzle with margarine; sprinkle with 1 tsp sugar.
Bake until topping is golden brown, about 30 minutes. Serve warm with hot Butter-Rum Sauce 6 servings
Butter Rum Sauce- 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cup whipping cream 1/4 cup margarine or butter, melted 1/2 teaspoon rum flavoring Heat sugar and whipping cream in 1-quart saucepan over medium heat until hot (do not boil); Remove from heat. Stir in margarine and flavoring.
