Put raisins in jar and cover with rum. Cover and leave

Put 1/2 c. butter pieces, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in
blender/mixer. Process with 1 second pulses to partly mix. Add
flour then process with 10 or 12 one second pulses until mixture
has texture of course meal. Set aside.

Adjust oven rack to center and preheat oven to 375. Butter a
shallow baking pan.

Process apple halves with short pulses to slice. Heat remaining
3Tbsp butter in large skillet and add apple pieces. Toss to coat
with butter and stir frequently. Add raisins. Burn rest of rum and
pour over apples. Put apples in dish and put mixture over it. Bake
35-40 mins.
