1 tsp salt
|
|
2 Tbs shortening
|

1 egg lightly beaten

1 C stale beer
|

Instructions |

|
Sift flour and salt into mixing bowl. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Add egg and beer, beat until smooth.

Use to coat fish filets, then fry in hot oil.

May aldo be used to fry vegetables, such as onion rings, zuchini, etc.
