     HERMAN Chocolate Cake

Ingredients
2/3 cup HERMAN
1 cup milk, lukewarm
1 1/4 cup flour
Sift together-
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup cocoa
 
1 1/2 tsp soda
2/3 cup shortening, cut in dry ingredients
Add-
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
Combine first three ingredients in a large bowl and let set and bubble in a warm place for 2 hours.
Sift together next ingredients and cut the shortening in.
Add- eggs and vanilla Beat thoroughly. Add the HERMAN mixture and bake in a 9x13-inch pan for 30 minutes for 350 degrees.
