Rinse and sort beans, place beans and water in a large pot on stovetop, bring to a boil, turn off heat, cover and let sit for about 1 hour, then, return to heat and bring to a simmer, cook until tender. After beans are tender, transfer to crockpot. (Beans must be completely cooked before adding remaining ingredients)
Cook bacon until crisp to render out fat, drain on paper towels, after bacon has cooled, chop into bacon bit size pieces.
Place all ingredients in slow cooker; cover and cook on low for about 5-6 hours. Stir occasionally.
BBQ pork ribs, chicken, steak, burgers or hot dogs, creamy cole slaw, garlic bread and cold beer.
