Cook spaghetti in lightly salted boiling water as package directs. While pasta cooks, cook bacon in a large nonstick skillet until bronwed, about 5 mins. Remove to a paper-towel lined plate. Add red onion to skillet; cook, stirring occasionally, 10 mins or until golden and tender. When pasta is done, reserve 1 cup pasta cooking water, then drain pasta and return to pot. Crumble in goat cheese, parsley and about 3/4 cup pasta water. Toss until goat cheese melts. Season with freshly ground pepper to taste and add more pasta water if desired. Sprinkle with bacon.
