     Rigatoni with Broccoli Rabe & White Beans

Ingredients
12 oz rigatoni
8 oz broccoli rabe, cut into 1-2 inch pieces
1 tbsp olive oil
1 cup chopped onion
2 tsp minced garlic
One 15 oz can drained and rinsed cannellini beans
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
1/2 cup pasta cooking water
Grated parmesan
 

Instructions
Cook pasta in lightly salted boiling water as package directs, adding rabe 3 mins before pasta will be done. While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large nonstick skillet. Add onion; saute 5 mins until tender. Stir in garlic; cook 1 min. Add beans and pepper flakes; simmer 1-2 mins for flavors to blend.
When pasta and rabe are done, reserve 1/2 cup pasta cooking water, the drain pasta and return to pot. Add beans and cooking water to pot with pasta; toss to evenly coat. Serve with grated parmesan.
