2C 1/2 inch pieces peeled pie pumkin or winter squash; 2 packages frozen squash can be substituted
1 medium onion, coarsely chopped
1 15 oz can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 C whole kernal corn
1 minced jalapeno, seeded
1/2 t salt
1/2 C beef broth
3 oz cream cheese, softened
2 C corn meal
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/3 C milk or buttermilk
1/3 C canned pumkin (skip this step if you use frozen squash)

Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a large skillet coook ground beef, pumpkin, onion over medium heat until meat is browned, onion tender, drain fat. Stir in black beans, corn, chile, salt. Heat. Stir in cream cheese. Transfer mixture to baking dish.
in medium bowl stir together corn meal, egg , milk and canned pumpkin. when combined, spoon over beef mixture. pour beef broth ontop. Bake twenty minutes
