Cream butter or margarine in a medium mixing bowl. Gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs, flour, baking soda, salt, and bananas. Mix well.
Pour batter into a well greased, lightly floured 9x5x3 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes or uintil a wooden pick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool in a pan for 10 minutes. Remove bread from pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
Slice and serve.
