2 cans (10 oz each) diced tomatoes with green chilies
1 medium can (15 oz) tomato sauce
1 cup potatoes, diced with skin
1 cup carrots, diced
1 celery, diced
1 can (14 1/2 oz) french style green beans
1 cup dry red wine
1 tbsp parsley, minced
1/2 tsp basil
salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
In a large frying pan, brown the hamburger and crumble into small pieces. Drain the grease and set aside.
In a large soup pot, saute the onions and garlic in the butter until the onions begin to color.
Add the hamburger meat to the pot, then add all the other ingredients. Stir well. Bring the pot to a boil, then reduce heat. Simmer the soup until the vegetables are tender, about 30-40 minutes.
