Saute onion in 2 tbsp olive oil in a large, heavy bottomed pot until translucent. Add chopped garlic, quartered zucchini and other summer veg. Saute lightly.
At the same time, cook sausage most of the way through, season with salt and pepper. Add to pot with veg.
Add to veg and sausage 1 tbsp oregano and sweet basil (to taste), and tomatoes.
Cover, simmer 20-30 min. Serve plain or over pasta.
