Fry hamburg and onion together, drain excess fat, set aside; in a huge pot then add all the ingredients with seasonings, everything except the sausage. You need to cook on a simmer for a couple of days,on and off, refrigerate in between as needed as not to spoil.
after a couple of days fry up sausage and add to sauce, grease too as long as it's not a lot. This adds to the taste. You also need to taste it after a couple of days and add maybe a 1/4 cup of sugar if it is too bitter for your taste, red pepper to your taste also. experiment with this recipe and have fun. It never taste the same twice, but it is always good!!
