     Pear pound cake

Ingredients
3 pears
1 cup sugar in 4 cups of water (boiling)
1/2 cup butter, soft
1 1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup sour cream
3 eggs
cinnamon
salt
 
baking powder
1 cup of any nuts

Instructions
Bring water to boil and add 1 cup of sugar and some cinnamon, peel and cork the pears leaving the stems, keep in boiling water for 5 minutes, cool. This prevents pears from going brown after
Mix all wet ingridients and dry ones
Pour into a greased loaf pan and place pears upright into the batter, gently pressing in
Bake in preheated oven at 180-200 degrees until knife comes out clean, cook completely before removing from the pan
