     Apple Crisp

Ingredients
4 meduim tart cooking apples, 4 cups, greening, rome, granny smith
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup quick cooking oats
1/3 cup butter, softened
3/4 teaspoon nutmeg, ground
cream or ice cream
 
PREHEAT OVEN TO 375 DEGREES
Instructions
Grease bottom and sides of 8x8x82 inch pan with shortening.
Spread apples in pan. Mix remaining ingredients except cream, sprinkle over apples.
Bake about 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown and apples are tender when pierced with a fork. Serve warm
