     Cream Cheese Brownies

Ingredients
1 cup butter
4 ounces unsweetened baking choclate
2 cups sugar
2 tablespoons vanilla
4 large eggs
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup coarsly chopped nuts
 
Cream cheese filling
2 8 ounces packages cream cheese, softened
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 large egg
PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES

Instructions
Grease bottom and sides of 13x9 pan with shortening.
Melt butter and chocolate in 1 quart saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and cool 5 minutes.
Make cream cheese frosting filling.
Beat chocolate mixture, sugar, vanilla and eggs in a large bowl in a large bowl with mixer on meduim speed 1 minute, scraping bowl occasionally. Beat in flour and salt on low speed 30 seconds, scraping bowl occasionally. Beat on meduim speed 1 minute. Stir in the nuts. Spread 1 3/4 cup of the batter in pan. Spread filling over the batter. Drop remaining batter in mounds randomly over the filling. Carefully spread to cover cream cheese layer. Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack.
