     Pretzels for Kids

Ingredients
2 packages dry yeast
1 1/2 cup warm water
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
4 to 5 cups flour
1 egg beaten with 1 tablespoon of water
Kosher (coarse) salt or cinnamon-sugar or sesame seeds
 

Instructions
Mix together the yeast, warm water, salt, and sugar and let it sit for 5 minutes until the yeast is dissolved.
Add the flour and knead it until the dough is no longer sticky. Start with 4 cups of flour and add more as needed. If using food processor to knead process for 1 minute.
Let kids roll the dough into pencil thick ropes and shape into pretzels, initials, stars, etc. Place on greased cookie sheet and brush with egg mixture. Sprinkle with your topping of choice(salt, cinnamon-sugar, etc)
Bake at 425 degrees for 10-12 minutes, until browned. Eat while hot!
