     Beer battered meatballs

Ingredients
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 cup dried bread crumbs
1/4 cup beer
1 egg
1 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper
2/3 cup beer
2 eggs beaten
4 TBS. oil
1 1/2 cup flour
 
1 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 mustard (I use spicy brown)
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. paprika
1/8 tsp cayenne pep

Instructions
In a large bowl mix first seven ingredients well. Shape into 1/2 inch balls. Batter- Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl. Dip each meatball into batter and coat well. In a 10 inch skillet heat oil approx 1 inch deep. Fry meatballs about 3 minutes in hot oil. (I usually turn them over too). Remove from pan and drain on paper towel. Mustard sauce- prepare sauce by mixing all ingredients together in a small bowl. To serve as hors d'oeurves place sauce in small bowl in the center of a large plate and place meatballs around it.
