3 slices of bacon, chopped (or equivalent of precooked bacon)
1 pound ground sirloin
1 medium onion, chopped
3-4 cloves garlic, chopped
Black pepper
2 teaspoons hot sauce
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
14 ounce can chopped or crushed tomatoes (fire roasted if able)
8 ounce can tomato sauce
3 ounces sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
4 scallions, trimmed and chopped (Green Onions work)
Instructions
Bring large pot of water to boil, salt the water and add spaghetti. Cook pasta to al dente. Drain the pasta
Heat a deep skillet to medium high. Add EVOO and bacon, cook until crisp, remove and chop bacon. Add beef to the skillet, crumble as it browns. After brown add the onions, garlic and bacon. Stir into the meat.
Season the meat with salt and pepper, hot sauce, Worcestershire, and cook for 5-6 minutes more. Stir in tomatoes and sauce.
Add the hot spaghetti to meat and sauce and combine. Serve pasta and top with grated cheese and scallions.
