1c optional any combination- wheat germ, ground flax seed, triticale or any flake grain
1 c dried fruit
bar option- 1 egg and 1 c flour
Instructions
combine first 7 ingredients.
bar option, stir in 1 egg and 1 c flour (I use whole wheat) here.
stir in next 3, coat well.
pour onto baking sheet and bake at 350 for about 30 min, stirring every 5-10 minutes until golden brown.
bar option, pour into 9x13 pan and bake till set about 30 min, do not stir
remove from oven, add dried fruit, let cool and enjoy!!
bar option- let cool 15 min and cut into squares but dont remove from pan until completely cool.
This is a basic granola guideline!! you can substitute any 1/2 c combination of sugar ie. all or part maple syrup, honey, brown sugar. Use any nut or fruit you want or leave them out entirely. Use any flavoring combination you want or leave it out too, there is no right or wrong!!!
