Ingredients

	2 Cups minus 2Tbl. sifted cake flour
	1 1/2 Cup Sugar
	1 1/4 tsp. Baking Powder
	1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
	1 tsp. Salt
	6 Tbl. Cocoa
	1 Cup Shortening
	1 Cup Buttermilk
	2 Eggs

1/2 tsp. Red Food Coloring


Instructions


Sift together- flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cocoa


Add- shortening and buttermilk. Beat until well blended


Add- Eggs and food coloring. Beat until well blended.


Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.


Serving Suggestions

Top with whipped cream
