Mix together butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Add in flour, baking powder, and salt. Refrigerate until firm. Roll out on the counter, and use cookie cut-outs of desired shape.
Bake for 8-10 minutes at 375 degrees.
Decorate with your favorite choice of icing.
