     Carmel Apple pork chops

Ingredients
4 thick pork chops
1 tsp. vegatable oil
4 Tbsp. brown sugar
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
4 Tbsp. butter
3 tart apples, peeled and sliced
3 Tbsp. pecans
 

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brown the chops on the skillet until browned for color.
In a small bowl combine brown sugar, salt and pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg. add butter to skillet and melt over medium heat. add the sugar mixture and apples. Cover and simmer for a few minutes until the apples are tender.
Transfer the pork chops to a baking dish and cover with the apple mixsture and bake in oven for 30 mins? Check for doneness since they get very tough if over cooked. Top with pecans to serve.
Serving Suggestions
Serve over white rice.
