      my version of Clam Chowder

Ingredients
8 slices of bacon
1 large onion
2 stalks of celery
3 large potatos
2 (10 oz) cans of chopped clams
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp pepper
2 btls. clam juice
1/4 tsp thyme
 
one bay leaf
2 cups skim milk
2 cups fat free half and half
sriracha hot chili sauce to taste

Instructions
In a large pot placed 1/4 chopped bacon slices to brown. Add finely chopped onions and celery. Add potatoes. add clam juice, clams, and spices and bring to boil. Boil for 10 minutes. Turn off heat.
In another small pan place half and half and skim milk. Warm slowly, do not boil. Add to large pot.
Serve with oyster crackers and sriracha to personal taste.
