Cut 1/2 C butter into 1 C flour. Sprinkle 2 T water. Round into ball. Divide in half. Pat into 12x3 strip 3' apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Heat 1/2 C butter and 1 C water to rolling boil. Remove from heat. Add 1 T almond extract and 1 C flour. Stir vigorously over low heat until it forms a ball. Remove from heat. Add 3 eggs.
Mix until smooth and glossy. Divide in half and spread evenly on strips.
Bake 350 for 1 hour.
