     Brine for turkey

Ingredients
2 quarts water
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup kosher salt
2 half gallons of buttermilk.
 

Instructions
Heat water just enough to melt salt and sugar. Add buttermilk to brine - pour over turkey in plastic bag. Making sure turkey is totally submerged in the brine. If turkey isn't totally submerged turn every eight hours. Marinate in brine for 24 to 36 hours. Before roasting rinse brine off turkey and season to your liking. Roast according to size.
