Combine shortening, salt, vanilla, sugar & eggs, beat throughly. Add flour & mix well. Drop cookies using a tablespoon onto baking sheet. Let sit 5 minutes,then flatten with bottom of glass. Bake at 375 8 to 10 minutes, until edges slightly brown. Let cool then remove from cookie sheet.
