Heat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, break up cookie dough. Pat cherries dry with paper towels. Gently stir cherries and flour into dough.

Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls into cereal crumbs; coat well, pressing cereal into dough. Shape into balls; place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheets.

The cereal for coating the cookies doesn't need to be finely crushed. Simply pour the cereal in a bowl and crush it until pieces are broken. Or transfer the cereal to a resealable food storage plastic bag and flatten it slightly with a rolling pin.
