Beat the egg yolks with 1/2 cup of butter until creamy and ribbony, mix with desired spices
Beat whites until soft peaks, add sugar bit by bit until light and fluffy and stiff
Fold whites with yolks alternating with flour, very gently, just until mixed, then add slowly the chilled melted butter, mix all together
Bake for 10-15 mins in a baking sheet lined with waxed paper, until dough springs back to the touch, sprinkle a towel with icing sugar, flip the cake over, roll it in the towel, let stand until cooled then unroll and ice with you decired topping - jam, whipped cream, butter cream, you can always add nuts or chocolat chips to the filling, roll back and let stand overnight covered by a towel, ENJOY!!!

This might sound very hard but its actually very easy, worked first time for me, just do not overcook the dough!!!
