     Sugar Cookies

Ingredients
3 eggs
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 cup shortening
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cram of tartar
1 tsp. soda
3 cups flour
2 tsp. vanilla
 
Instructions
Beat eggs, add sugar and shortening. Mix well. Add remaining ingredients.
Chill dough for about an hour. (I put it in the refrigerator for a day.)
Roll thin and cut with cookie cutters. Bake at 375 for approximately 10 minutes. Let cool and decorate. Makes about 5 dozen.
