     Ginger Snaps

Ingredients
three fourth cup butter softened
1 cup sugar
one fourth cup molasses
2 tsp baking soda
2 cups flour
half tsp gound cloves
2 tsp ground cinnamon
half tsp salt
4 oz crystalized ginger, chopped coarsely
 

Instructions
Combine softened butter,sugar, molasses and egg. Beat well.
Mix dry ingredients, tgether , add to wet mixture, mix well.
Chill for an hour.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Form into 1 inch balls, roll in sugar, andplace on greased cookie sheet, 2 inch apart. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
