three fourth cup butter softened
|
|
1 cup sugar
|

one fourth cup molasses
|
|
2 tsp baking soda
|
|
2 cups flour
|

half tsp gound cloves
|

2 tsp ground cinnamon

half tsp salt

4 oz crystalized ginger, chopped coarsely

Instructions |
|
|
Combine softened butter,sugar, molasses and egg. Beat well.
|
|
|
Mix dry ingredients, tgether , add to wet mixture, mix well.
|
|
|
Chill for an hour.
|
|
|
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Form into 1 inch balls, roll in sugar, andplace on greased cookie sheet, 2 inch apart.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
