     Caramel Bread Pudding

Ingredients
6 slices day-old white bread, cut into cubes
1 cup hot water
1 cup packed brown sugar
4 eggs lightly beaten
2 cups warm milk
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp salt
 

Instructions
Place bread in a greased baking dish (8x8). Combine water and brown sugar and pour over bread. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over bread. Bake at 350 for 50 to 60 minutes or until knife inserted in the center comes up clean
Serve warm or cold. It is great with ice cream or whipped cream. Serves 6-8.
