2 cans whole berry Cranberry Sauce, extra liquid drained
1 C Walnuts, chopped
1 C Sugar
2 C All-purpose Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 C Sour Cream
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 F. Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and mix well. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream. Add extract.
Spoon 1/3 batter into greased 9inch square baking pan. Top with 1/3 cranberry sauce. Repeat layers two more times. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake 55 to 60 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Glaze- Combine 1/3 C Confectioners' Sugar, 5 tsp warm Water and 1/2 tsp Almond Extract in a small bowl. Mix until combined.
Make glaze and drizzle over the cake. Makes 9 servings.
